How do I qualify for Google ad grants?

Governmental businesses such as hospitals, schools, colleges and Universities are unfortunately not eligible for Google for Non-profits, but philanthropic arms of educational institutions are eligible. Here’s the requirements for applying

  • Ensure you’re eligible
  • Apply via the application form
  • Hold a valid charity status in your country with a charity number
  • Agree to Google policies including non-discrimination and donation receipt and use
  • Ensure you have a live website which should have a substantial amount of content
  • Create an AdWords account using strict specifications set from Google to ensure it is compliant.

That’s it, you’re all set and ready to go!

Does the AdWords account need maintenance once set up?

YES! The most important thing is to ensure the ad account is monitored and improved on a monthly basis.

If you don’t log into the account each month and maintain above 5% CTR for two consecutive months, your account will be cancelled. It’s as simple as 1,2,3. Just please ensure it is above 5!
