The Bigwave Story
Our Exeter-based marketing agency was born out of a desire to mutually share our skillsets and make a difference in growing businesses. Guided by our philosophy of starting small and building to a Bigwave, we recognised an opportunity to bring innovation to the Leisure sector. As a result, we became the first national creative growth partner for the UK leisure industry and are now leading the way in this field. With over 200 clients across diverse sectors such as biotech, manufacturing, food & beverage, culture, education, and finance, we continue to expand our reach.
The Bigwave Mission
At Bigwave, our mission is to deliver growth and make a difference in every aspect of our work. This includes our clients, colleagues, and communities. To achieve this, we focus on nurturing strategic partnerships with organisations that share our values. Sustainability
Being sustainable is an integral part of our ethos. We are committed to going green across all aspects of our company. As part of our mission to make a difference and promote growth in our community, sustainability plays a significant role. We aim to assist our colleagues and clients in making a positive impact on the environment by incorporating sustainable practises into their daily operations.

B-Corp Accreditation
Bigwave became a certified B Corporation in 2025. This certification enables us to join leaders in a global movement of businesses that operate as forces for good. Our focus lies in promoting inclusivity, equity, transparency, and sustainability.
Becoming a certified B Corporation demonstrates our dedication to conducting business in a responsible and ethical manner.
It showcases our commitment to making a positive impact on society and the environment. As a verified B-Corp, we join a select community of businesses that prioritise purpose-driven initiatives, aiming to create a more sustainable and equitable world.
With more than 400 certified B Corps, the South West has the highest concentration of B Corps outside of London.

Reaching Our Net 0 Targets
Bigwave has committed to being carbon neutral by 2030. This commitment has been made through the Future Net Zero initiative.
We appointed a ‘Make it net zero Hero’, Web Project Manager, Laura Fry, who internally champions our reduction mission and monitors our progress.
Within four years we achieved a 87.6% reduction in CO2 emissions and have achieved the ‘Future Net Zero’ Platinum status.
This has been achieved through a reduction in travel, migration to electric fleet vehicles, migration to renewable energy plans and internal environmental initiatives.
In 2022 we moved Data Centre partners to a registered green web provider which is certified by the Green Web Foundation. This provides our agency, and our clients, with more sustainable web hosting.
The foundation promotes sustainable web practices and raises awareness about the internet’s environmental impact.
Find out more about this credential here.
To support our environmental mission, we launched an initiative in July 2022 to plant trees for every £50 a client spends on print. Four years on and we have planted over 26,000 trees on behalf of our clients with the Eden Reforestation Projects. This does not count towards our CO2 reduction!

The Bigwave Business Games
We are proud creators and organisers of the Bigwave Business Games, held annually in Exeter, Torbay, and Plymouth. These games comprised fun and engaging corporate events that feature a range of physical, mental, and teamwork challenges, catering to diverse strengths.
The primary aim of the Bigwave Business Games was to promote business networking and employee participation in social activities while simultaneously raising funds for local charitable causes. Since their inception, these games successfully raised over £60,000, making a positive impact in our communities.
