A new website for a festival celebrating a decade of cinema

English Riviera Film Festival champions film producers worldwide, and aims to bring films to audiences across Torbay, putting the South West on the global cinematic map.

Slide 1

The goal

As the English Riviera Film Festival approached its 10th anniversary, the team wanted a website that reflected the festival’s growth and provided a stronger platform for showcasing its awards, events and community impact.

The key objectives were to:

  • Create a modern online presence for the festival
  • Improve access to information for filmmakers and audiences
  • Showcase awards, interviews and festival content
  • Support future growth and new talent initiatives

Our Solution

Working closely with the festival team, we designed and developed a new website that brings together every aspect of the English Riviera Film Festival in one engaging and accessible platform.

The site showcases the festival’s rich history, celebrates past award winners and provides dedicated areas for industry interviews, award-winning films and festival news. We also created a flexible content structure, making it easy for the team to update information and continue expanding the website as the festival grows.

Throughout the project, collaboration with the festival team ensured the website captured both the professionalism of the event and its commitment to supporting the next generation of filmmakers.

Here's what English Riviera Film Festival had to say about working with us.

‘We are delighted with the new site and believe it provides a fantastic platform to showcase the future of the English Riviera Film Festival.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Simon, along with Lee Potter, Laura Fry, and Emily Guppy, from Bigwave’s web development department for collaborating with the festival team to bring the new website to life.’
