At Bigwave Marketing, we believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting local businesses. That’s why we recently launched our Fore Street initiative, offering free professional photography and videography services to five lucky businesses on Fore Street. Our goal was simple: to enhance the visibility and growth of these enterprises through high-quality visual content, reinforcing our commitment to the local business community.
A common challenge among small businesses is the need for professional marketing and social content. Many local businesses struggle to afford high-quality photography and videography, which are crucial for effective marketing. Seeing this need, we decided to step in and make a difference to our lovely neighbourhood businesses. By providing these services for free, we aimed to empower local businesses to better showcase their offerings and attract more customers to this great part of Exeter.

Zero waste, plastic free refill and lifestyle store. Offering a huge selection of food and drinks, as well as cleaning, health and beauty, home and lifestyle products. All of which are either plastic or packaging free, as well as eco friendly, sustainable and environmentally conscious!
2. Cake or Death

I founded Cake or Death in 2019, which exploded onto the London food scene with an incredibly fudgy, chocolatey brownie that no one could believe was vegan. Now ordered by tens of thousands of customers a year.
3. Helen of Troy
Exeter’s independent dreamery, stocking birthday cards, art prints, books, clothing and homeware! An ethical, imaginative boutique supporting gorgeous artists. Perfect for gifts!
4. The Belt Makers
Exquisitely handmade, long lasting, English leather belts from the UK’s leading handsewing specialists.
5. The Roots Foundation
Focusing on quality and ethics, we provide expert barber services for everyone, regardless of your age, gender, background or the music you love dancing to on a Saturday night.
With a range of unique products, we offer exceptional haircuts, tailored beard care and luxurious hot-towel shaves, creating the style you want in a welcoming and inspiring setting.
Our Exeter barber shop is also a social space, providing opportunities for the local community to engage with artists, makers, doers and social movements in our area and beyond. Attend a workshop, browse the mini record shop, check out the zine collection, use our study space, or just come in for chat!
