Brand Identity for Risk Governance in a Connected World

Overview

C3IA delivers consultancy and services across the full breadth of risk governance, including Secure by Design, security testing, and technical assurance. Operating at the intersection of technology, regulation, and trust, the organisation needed a brand that reflected both technical authority and modern digital relevance.

Our task was to create a distinctive, flexible visual identity that could confidently represent C3IA across a wide range of audiences and contexts.

The Logo

At the heart of the identity is a new logo formed from a globe constructed of circles and ‘blob’ shapes. These elements suggest data points, cyber space, and the constant flow of information reflecting the environments in which C3IA operates.

Beyond the logo itself, these shapes were designed as building blocks for the wider brand. They can be combined into patterns and compositions that brand materials confidently, even without the logo present, creating a recognisable visual system.

Responsive Logo System

To ensure flexibility across platforms and scales, the logo was developed as a responsive system:

  • Primary mark: Full C3IA wordmark paired with the globe symbol

  • Secondary mark: “C3” paired with the globe for more compact applications

  • Icon: The globe symbol alone, optimised for digital, social, and small-scale use

This tiered approach ensures clarity and consistency, whether the brand is applied to a website header, report cover, presentation, or digital interface.

Brand Applications

The identity was rolled out across a suite of core brand materials, including business cards, letterheads, banners, leaflets, and additional marketing collateral. Each application was designed to showcase the flexibility of the visual system, using the globe forms and patterns to create strong, consistent branding without over-reliance on the logo. This ensured C3IA’s communications feel cohesive, professional, and recognisable across both digital and physical touchpoints.

The Result

The new identity gives C3IA a clear, confident visual presence, one that reflects the complexity of its work without overwhelming its audience. The system is flexible, scalable, and built to evolve alongside the organisation, supporting everything from thought leadership to technical documentation.

The result is a brand that feels connected, assured, and future-focused, positioning C3IA as a trusted partner in an increasingly complex digital landscape.
