Bigwave media shortlisted for Herald Express South Devon Business Award

This year’s Herald Express  South Devon Business Awards ceremony promises fun, food and hopefully some Bigwave festivities, with the agency in the running for the Business Growth Award.

This recognition follows a particularly successful period of positive development. In the final half of 2016, Bigwave opened an office in Torquay after noticing a shift up in gear on the business and commercial front in the bay area.

Over the past year, they have been awarded accreditation for offering European work experience by Torquay-based The Training Partnership, become an RAR recommended agency, gained Google Partner Status and created two new apprenticeship roles.

During this time, Bigwave has also worked hard to advance their product offering. Particular focus has been given to the development of digital marketing channels like pay per click advertising.

Going for gold

Bigwave will go head-to-head against three ambitious local businesses to win the award.

The Herald Express describes the successful nominee as “the business which can demonstrate outstanding achievements in the development of innovative products or services, expansion into new markets or areas of business activity or a proven track record of commercial success and growth.”

Ronnie Halden, Head of Marketing and Creative Services, said:

We are delighted to be nominated for an award. The positive business attitude in the bay and the receptiveness by companies to our extensive range of services were instrumental in our decision to expand our business by opening an office in Torquay”

The agency will find out how its fared on Friday 28th April, where the ceremony will take place at the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay.

What do you reckon – do you think Bigwave has what it takes to win? We like to think so. Even if not, the night promises to deliver what sounds like a delicious camembert and leek tart.

Good luck to all nominees. Go #TeamBigwave!
