Following the impact of Coronavirus on the leisure industry, we launched a new Workout at Home initiative to get the nation healthy and have made it available, for free, to any UK leisure operator.
When the doors to leisure facilities closed, we looked for ways to help our 550+ leisure facility clients engage with their membership base and keep them physically active.
As a leading marketing agency in Leisure we are deeply connected to the sector, its operators, suppliers and the people that make it so great. It was important for us to do something that supported and contributed to the sector during this time of uncertainty. Our company mission statement is to ‘Make a Difference’ and we couldn’t think of anything better than helping operators across the UK to engage with their members and keep them physically active.
Led by our Creative & Client Services Director, Lee Potter, we came up a digital workout tool called ‘[email protected]’. The web-based app was designed and built by our creative and web development teams and is accessible through any internet browser on mobile, tablet or desktop.
About the tool
The tool provides members with a way to create easy to follow workouts, selecting from four categories; Cardio, Strength, Body and Mind; and offering over 45 workouts. For those that can’t decide on a workout plan, there’s even a random workout function to automatically build a bespoke plan! Once the member hits a start button the timer counts down and guides them from one exercise to the next. The workouts are quiet so can be completed in peace without disturbing neighbours/flatmates. Another benefit is that they can be completed anywhere and in any sized home.

Impressed with the concept, Gloucester based not for profit charity, Aspire Sports & Cultural Trust, (one of our clients), offered the support of their health and fitness team who road tested and vetted all the exercises.
With positive feedback from other clients and support from Community Leisure UK (the organisation that represents Leisure & Cultural Trusts in the UK) to offer the portal out to its members, we made the decision to hand the portal over to the sector and make it available to any operator across the UK, for free.

Get the portal for free
The web portal is available to any UK operator that would like to use the portal on their own site. Alongside the free portal is also a set of ready-made graphics specifically designed to be used on social media to promote the workout tool on operators’ social channels. These have also been made available for free.
To support the sector further we have re-branded 20 portals to Operators unique branding and are offering to fully bespoke brand a further 20 portals to the next 25 Operators to request one.
