Torbay Creative Cluster

What is the Torbay Creative Cluster?

Torbay is home to an estimated 800 creatives, working across a range of subsectors, including:

  • Advertising and marketing
  • Architecture
  • Crafts
  • Design and designer fashion
  • Film, TV, video, radio and photography
  • IT, software and computer services
  • Publishing
  • Museums, galleries and libraries
  • Music, performing and visual arts

As a whole, the Creative industry delivers £125bn to the UK economy, making up 6% of GVA. We believe Torbay has potential to grow the local creative economy and help establish more businesses and year-round employment opportunities.

The Torbay Creative Cluster is a collaboration between a number of Torbay creatives with the shared objective to unite, support and grow the Torbay creative sector and in turn, deliver economic growth to Torbay.

Building a vibrant network

Together we can build a vibrant, local network which will help local creatives to thrive and grow.

Everyone has something to offer, be it simply support or provision of time, skills, or resources. Whether you’re in the sector, keen to support local people, or simply have a creative spark, the Cluster could use your support.

How can I support the Cluster?

Simply sign up to hear the latest news and events. There is no commitment, we just ask that you champion the sector.

This could be as simple as word of mouth – share the latest event, or connect local creatives with each other.

Individuals or business, particularly those in the sector, may also have more tangible ways to support too. Examples include offering meeting spaces, sharing resources (such as camera kit), offering work experience opportunities, mentoring creatives or young people, working with local creatives in your supply chain or providing sector advocacy.
